Terms

Last updated 16 September 2026.

These terms cover the Truestate website, the hosted board, the command line tool, and the GitHub App, all provided by Elysium Ventures LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. By using them you agree to these terms. If you are using Truestate for a company, you agree on its behalf.

Early access

Truestate is in early access. Features may change, and there may be interruptions. We will tell you about changes that affect how your record is stored or read. Prices shown during early access are indicative; teams that join during early access keep their rate for a year after general availability.

Your record is yours

The work record, which is the JSON files under your tracker folder and the GitHub issues the board creates, lives in your repository and belongs to you. You can stop using Truestate at any time and keep everything. We claim no rights over your code, your record, or anything the board shows you.

What we ask of you

  • Keep your sign in email under your control. Anyone with access to that inbox can open your board.
  • Only install the GitHub App on repositories you are allowed to grant access to.
  • Do not use Truestate to store data you are not allowed to share with your own team, since everyone listed as a member of a repository's people file can see that repository's board.
  • Do not attempt to access another team's board, probe the service, or send automated traffic beyond ordinary use.

What you can expect from us

  • We read your repository only through the GitHub App you install, with the permissions you granted, and we do not store your code.
  • We keep account data as described in the privacy page.
  • We tell you before a change that would alter your record's format, and we keep the schema for that format published.

Fees

The free tier is free. Paid tiers are billed monthly per person or per agreement, in United States dollars, and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. Taxes are added where required.

Warranty and liability

Truestate is provided as is during early access. To the extent the law allows, Elysium Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Truestate at any time; uninstalling the GitHub App and deleting your account ends our access to your repository. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why unless the law prevents it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes are heard in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
